Asclepias incarnata - Swamp Milkweed
A milkweed species that is perfect for moist to wet sites. Despite it’s preference for moist soil it will survive in drier conditions and has a moderate level of drought tolerance. Vibrant, pink blooms are highly attractive to bees and butterflies. In tune with the other native Ontario milkweeds, this species supports monarch butterflies in the caterpillar stage and is essential to their survival.
