Nursery Pickup Details
Online Orders Must Be Picked Up Within 7 Days of Confirmation
We have a dedicated holding area under irrigation, but the space is limited. If an order is not claimed within a week, the items will be placed back into our inventory, and the customer will be issued a credit for 75% of the value of their purchase.
Please Arrive On Time For Scheduled Pickup
Your promptness and consideration on pick up day is expected and appreciated, as there may be others who are scheduled to pick up in the next time slot after you. If you are running late, please contact us at 705 627 8004. You may need to wait in your vehicle until other customers have loaded their plants if you do not arrive on time.
Plant Substitutions & Refunds
When you are directed to your order, please inspect it to make sure all is to your satisfaction. Although we endeavour to provide you with a plant we feel is worthy of your purchase, it is a subjective thing. If you are not happy with any of the items we have selected on your behalf, please let us know immediately and we will issue a refund for the item(s). No substitutions will be possible at time of pick up.
All Sales Are Final
PLEASE NOTE: Once you leave the nursery with your order, you will not be able to return any of the purchased items.
Loading Details
Unfortunately, at this time all purchases will need to be loaded into your vehicle by YOU. We will only be able to offer assistance from afar at a safe distance. Unless you have purchased plants that are not very tall, we typically suggest loading them in your vehicle lying down on their sides. They can be stacked in layers if need be. Please bring your own tarps, straps, packing material etc. We recommend leaving the plants in your vehicle for the shortest time period possible.
Less Than Perfect Leaves
As we do not use any harmful sprays in our management of critters in our nursery, we mostly engage in manual removal of any non-native or non-beneficial creatures we encounter. You may notice some holes in the leaves of some woody species – particularly ones in the quercus, betula, prunus, populus and salix family. That is because these plant groups are host plants for our native butterfly and moth species as well as possible nesting material for our native leaf cutter bees. We feel that one should be able to put up with some holes here and there as those caterpillars are supplying our native birds with food to feed their young.
We recommend taking the “10 Step Program” – recommended by Dr. Doug Tallamy. If you notice some holes or some critters munching away, all you need to do is to take 10 steps back and they disappear!
If nothing is eating your plants, be it pollen, nectar, leaves – then your plants are not contributing to sustaining our natural food web.
