This species of the milkweed family is great for moist to wet sites. Despite it’s preference for moist soil it will survive in drier conditions and has a moderate level of drought tolerance. In tune with the other native Ontario milkweeds this species supports Monarch butterflies in the larval stage. It is highly attractive to bees and other pollinators.
