A very useful, adaptable species that grows successfully in a variety of conditions. Foliage forms in flat sprays of scale-like leaves that are aromatic when rubbed. Upright, pyramidal form with fan-like, arching branches. Foliage is dense and evergreen. Effectively used as a screen or hedge (clipped or informal). Prefers moist, well-drained loam in full sun. Intolerant of high heat and dry soil.
