Senna hebecarpa - Wild Senna

Has a unique, horizontal branching structure for a perennial and almost appears shrub-like when fully grown. The senna is a member of the pea family. During the summer it has bright, yellow flowers which are displayed near the top of each stem. Very attractive to bumblebees. Long seed pods appear in the fall.
