Sambucus pubens- Red Elderberry
A suckering shrub that prefers saturated, moist soil. Achieves best coloration in full sun but also enjoys light shade. Displays an abundance of small, bright red berries in the summer. Berries are slightly toxic to humans but can be consumed after being cooked.
