Platanus occidentalis - American Planetree

A massive tree with horizontal branching and rounded form. Known for it's peeling, patchy bark consisting of shades of grey, brown, white and green. Has a thick canopy with large leaves that provide ample shade. Grows quickly and can rapidly fill in open spaces. Attracts pollinators. Tolerant of urban conditions.
Is also commonly called sycamore tree.
