Striking magenta-whitish blooms are displayed in a dense array atop tall stems. Enjoys wet soils, and is found naturally growing near ponds or in marshy areas. A prolific species that spreads via rhizome and can fill in a large garden space effectively. Pollinators love visiting this flower because it produces large amounts of nectar. Stems remain pointed in the orientation they directed, hence the name obedient plant.
