Here at Not So Hollow Farm we are extremely excited for this coming Saturday! Starting at 9am on Saturday, September 30th, we are one of the locations for the Dufferin Town and Country Farm Tour (Find out more). We are opening our doors and inviting everyone to learn about our farm, native plants, gardening, permaculture and so much more! The Nottaswasaga Valley Conservation Authority (NVCA) will be putting on activities for kids. Pollination Guelph will be on hand to teach us all about our native pollinators. Come meet our very own guinea hens plus our guest alpacas and lambs! The National Famers Union will be present and will explain how they are all about supporting the small family farm. And our friends at Woodfield Farm will be in attendance and will have their products available for purchase.
This is a great opportunity to come meet our hard-working crew at Not So Hollow Farm and have your questions answered. We will be highlighting our demonstration raised vegetable garden this year. It has been designed to work effectively with our two-wheel tractor and hand tools. Come see our permaculture orchard demonstration and learn about a landscape that produces healthy, and more abundant fruit by companion planting and a holistic approach.
Experience the Nursery
Our nursery will be open all day, giving everyone an opportunity to purchase a wide range of native trees, shrubs and perennials. We have a fresh batch of aronia berry, Canada plum, wild grape and elderberry jelly ready for the event and we will have samples to try. Our famous kimchi will also be available for purchase. We will have other products, books and complimentary handouts available at our kiosk.
